Picnic, Car Wash, and Dues

Thank you to everyone who came to the picnic last weekend! Do not forget that we are having a car wash on Sunday at Donato's from 1 to 4 P.M. Anyone who plans on going to a conference later in the year should come. Bring towels and/or sponges. Furthermore, do not forget to turn your $20 dues in to Treasurer Mircea Lazar as soon as possible. The $100 activity fee also needs to be paid; that can be done in the main office.
First Meeting

Thank you to everyone who came to our first meeting! Our next meeting will be at our usual date and time, Thursday (September 15) after school in Ms. Rudesal's room, A204. We will be discussing the picnic, car wash, dues, etc. As usual, we will also debate. Plan to stay until 4:00. Food WILL be provided. We hope to see you there!Car Wash = Success!

All the officers would like to thank everyone who came to help with the car wash this morning at Drug Mart. This car wash was very successful in comparison to others in the past; we raised approximately $300! Furthermore, we will have another car wash sometime in early September, right before the annual picnic. Thanks and have a great summer!
2011 Banquet and More Year-End Updates

The 2011 Model UN Banquet was just recently held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 in Mrs. Brickley's room. Every delegate in attendance received an award. Superlatives were also given out. At the end of the banquet, the new officers were announced. Priyakrit Chari, the incumbent Vice Secretary-General, will take over as Secretary-General from Anusha Jayaram for 2011-2012 school year. Adam Rosenberg will become the new Vice Secretary-General, taking over from Priyakrit. Chase Matecun will be the new Secretary, taking over from Allison Hoornbeek. Finally, Mircea Lazar will continue as Treasurer of HHSMUN for the second year in a row. Thanks to everybody who attended the banquet!Second of all, our club will have a car wash on June 18 in the morning. We'd like to get as many people in on this as possible in order to get some money into our account. More details to come.
Finally, the HHS Model UN website now sports a new look! This new design was actually in use during the 2009-2010 school year, but a plain, blue background was used for the 2010-2011 school year. Make sure to visit this site often for updates!
